My word for 2018

Happy New Year my friends! I can’t believe that we are in 2018. It’s crazy how fast this year went by. A few highlights in 2017 were.  We moved across country away from my family to California, one of the biggest transitions we have ever made as a family. Zoe entered third grade and blown me away with how much she has grown this year. She is such beautiful soul and I’m so proud to be her mama. I was tested and tried in my career but endured trying times.  I ventured into new opportunities in my career and life which have challenged me beyond belief. (Real Estate Photography and Younique Presenter)  I also invested in myself in areas I’ve put off for to long.  Launched my new website and continued building my photography business.  Started my writing my book that I plan to have finished this year. Made some great friends in networking and in my community and connected with old friends as well. Dove into my personal development this year. I”m not saying all this to brag but I’m so grateful for all my accomplishments and blessings this year.

During some quiet time the other day I was reading a book and was inspired to think of my word for 2018. My word is, “Renew”. This past year seemed busy and a lot of times I  got to wrapped up in the busy.  I craved my quiet moments. The moments when it was quiet. No noise. No social media. Often I’ve found that when there is so much noise it’s hard to hear whats really important. I loose sight of what I need to do. What my calling and purpose is. So this year I want to dive deep and renew my spirit and keep working on ways to feed my spirit and soul so that I can be the best version of myself. I don’t want to miss out on what I need to do with what I’ve been given. Or create anxiety in my heart because I’m not keeping up with what everyone else is doing. It’s ok to be still and listen. I want to renew my spirit and mind and keep feeding it what it needs even when life can be busy and loud. I think there is much work to be done. Because it’s in those quiet moments we learn and are challenged.

What’s your word for 2018? I would love to hear it. Share below in the comments.  I hope you all have an awesome near year, I know this year is going to be so amaze. I can just feel it!

xo,

Jess
